Staff changes - July 2010
One of our founding members, Mr Rod Dilkes, has recently parted ways with EV Works in order to continue his personal business EV Power, where he plans to concentrate on his battery management system and the supply of Sky Energy batteries. Rest assured business at EV Works continues as normal, and we wish Rod the best of luck in his future endeavours!

 

EV Works chosen for WA EV trial - April 2010
EV Works is proud to have been awarded the contract to undertake the conversion of vehicles for the WA Electric Vehicle Trial, the first of its kind in Australia. The trial will operate over the next two years, placing electric vehicles into the fleets of ten local businesses and government departments in order to evaluate their performance and feasibility. EV Works' inaugural Electrokhana - December 2009

The event was great fun and allowed hundreds of attendees to experience electric vehicles first-hand, while dispelling any myths about EV performance!

We have some new throttles in store, including this quality 3-wire hall effect potbox, the same size as the Curtis PB-5/6 but a far more reliable solution than legacy resistive potboxes. Hall effect throttles use non-contact magnetic proximity sensors so offer virtually unlimited service life.

This device offers a simple and elegant solution for monitoring the battery state of charge in EV conversions, using the vehicle's existing fuel gauge to display it. Easy to install and very intuitive to use. Proudly designed and manufactured here in Australia!

EV Works Braided Cell Interconnector 70-8from $3.38 inc GST

We've designed our own range of braided cell interconnects specifically for hooking up lithium battery packs in electric vehicles. Tinned pure copper construction for maximum conductivity, and the flexible braid ensures a good contact even when cells are not perfectly aligned. A range of sizes covers all ThunderSky and Sky Energy cells from 40Ah to 160Ah.
