Description

Gigavac are a US company who produce a range of high quality hermetically sealed contactors, particularly suitable for higher voltage systems and use in dirty environments (such as EV engine bays). The contactors also include coil economizers, which reduces the hold current of the coil once it has closed.

The GX16 is Gigavac's largest DC contactor with a continuous current rating of 600A, it is a competitor to the (much pricier) Kilovac EV500 "Bubba" contactors, and is a good choice for vehicles running >1000A rated controllers (typically racing applications).
